The RhB acquired six locomotives designated Ge 6/6 in 1921, followed by another 15 by 1929. Due to their shape, construction, and similarity to the SBB "crocodiles," these locomotives are also known as Rhaetian crocodiles.
The Ge 6/6 I was used for both scheduled freight and passenger trains. Two units, numbers 414 and 415, have been preserved in perfect working order and are still in regular service.
