M-24 Chaffee, Great Britain, World War II, 1:87, Salvat
The M24 Chaffee, officially the Light Tank, M24, was an American light tank used at the end of World War II and in postwar conflicts such as the Korean War. In British service, it was named Chaffee after U.S. Army General Adna R. Chaffee, who helped develop the use of the tank in the U.S. armed forces. Although conceived and classified as a reconnaissance tank, it also served as a battle tank. Mass production began in 1944, and it was the successor to the World War II-era M3 Stuart. Among its other features, its great firepower stood out, as well as the fact that it was the first American tank to have beveled armor.
