The Mk.IV or A22 Churchill Infantry Tank was a British heavy tank used in World War II, known for its thick armor, large, elongated chassis with multiple bogies surrounded by tracks, and its use as the basis for several specialized vehicles. This series of tanks was named after Winston Churchill, who was not only the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Secretary of State for Defence at the time, but was also involved in the development of the tank as a weapon during World War I.
