The Panzerjäger Elefant (Sd. Kfz. 184) is a heavy tank destroyer (Panzerjäger) of the Wehrmacht during World War II. Tank destroyers are not usually considered tanks (Panzer); they are specifically designed to destroy enemy armored vehicles, especially heavy tanks, typically from the rear to support advancing tanks or defend a position, their role being distinct from that of conventional tanks.
